Solitaire tea service with rich gold decoration from the. KPM Berlin 6-piece set; teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl, teacup with saucer, rinsing bowl and tray. Convex round, partly oval forms. Pine lid knobs. Unglazed, gilt relief decoration "Neuzierat". The wall and the mirror decorated with gold tendrils, accentuated by finely contoured, fambroise-coloured backgrounds with latticework, blue and yellow flowers and stylised green leaves in polychrome painting. Decor designed by Friedrich Elias Meyer for Frederick the Great, 1764, partly gilt, partly with gold etchings. Partial interior wall gilding. Painter's marks. Sceptre and KPM mark and painter's mark. Jug h. 15.5 cm. Cf. Köllmann/Jarchow, vol. II, ill. 405 (relief decoration). A 6-piece solitaire porcelain tea set with gold decor accentuated with polychrome painted flowers and leafs. Partly gilded inside. Painter's sign. Sceptre with KPM and painter's mark. KPM-Berlin. Circa 1837 - 1844.
