Sumptuous caftan, Morocco, circa 1880, caftan with wide flared sleeves in silk-fashioned pekin and laughing gold thread with cream and green stripes decorated with garlands of flowers. Plastron underlined by two lines of braided buttons in gold and silver thread and arabesques in braid and cordonnet appliqué. Cotton main lining (very small hole under one arm).
