German neo-baroque silver dish with symmetrical raised edges, engraved in the centre with the Reichsadler surrounded by the motto "Preis des Reichministers des Auswärtigen Freiherrn von NEURATH, Berlin, den 30, Januar 1937" (Prize of the Reich Foreign Minister, Baron von Neurath, Berlin, 30 January 1937), on the back hallmark "925", precious metal crescent accompanied by the Kronenzeichen crown, and silversmith's mark "Sauerland & Kittel". diam. 39.5 cm, gross weight 1.924 gr. This gift was presented on 30 January 1937 by Konstantin Freiherr von Neurath (1873-1956) Reich Foreign Minister from 1932 to 1938. It is therefore probably a diplomatic gift given to an important dignitary, diplomat or prominent German or foreign figure on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of A. Hitler's accession to power.
