SOUVENIR. Polychrome aluminium badge of the 2nd squadron of the GR I/55, size 43 X 27 cm. ABE Reconnaissance group I/55 was equipped with Potez 63/11 and 542 aircraft and Bloch MB 131s. It took part in the French campaign in 1939-1940 in the Rhône-Alpes and Haute-Saône sector, attached to the 8th Army of the "Forces Aériennes de Coopération" of the ZOAS (Zone d'Opérations Aériennes Sud). After the Armistice, the group flew to Oran in Algeria.
