Paloma Picasso, daughter of Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot, became famous as a jewellery designer and from 1980 designed exclusive jewellery collections for Tiffany & Co. in New York as well as extravagant costume jewellery for the legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. She has been honoured by the National Museum of Women in the Arts and her work is in the collections of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Field Museum in Chicago.
