STACKELBERG (Otto Magnus von). Costumes & usages des peuples de la Grèce moderne. Paris, P. Marino, s.d. [ca. 1828-1830]. In-4, long-grained red half-maroquin with corners (Modern binding). First lithographic edition of this extremely rare suite, complete with a title and 30 numbered plates of Greek costumes, lithographed by Levilly and delicately coloured at the time. The drawings were made by Baron de Stackelberg during his trip to Greece with archaeologists Hallerstein and Brøndsted between 1810 and 1814. His drawings were first engraved and published in Rome in 1825, then republished in Berlin in 1831 under the title Trachten und Gebräuche der Neugriechen. Some foxing and spotting.
