BODHISATTVA STATUTE IN GREEN STEATITE, Greco-Buddhist art of Gandhara, 3rd-4th century
Seated on a throne in a frontal position, head haloed by a nimbus, ankles crossed, right hand holding a flower, wearing a sanghati covering the left shoulder and a paridhana attached by a belt and falling in elegant folds over the legs, adorned with necklaces, face slightly smiling, hair adorned with a diadem and a cockade; cracks, restorations, visible missing parts.
