Bronze statuette representing a crouching ibis, wearing the Atef crown which identifies him as Thoth, god of the moon, magic, wisdom and science. The long, half-open beak is slightly curved, and the circular eyes were probably inlaid with a different material, which has now disappeared. The legs are bent with finely detailed claws. The S-shaped neck merges into an elegantly curved body with cold-engraved plumage.
