A very rare and much sought-after first edition. It was not printed on large paper. The title of each volume is adorned with a vignette by Henry Monnier. An exceptional copy in a fine contemporary binding signed by Meslant. The volumes are preserved in covers and slipcases in the imitation of the bindings, signed Devauchelle.
