Symmetrically knapped with traces of retouching on both surfaces; piriform in plan with trimmed point, broad rounded butt; thick lentoid cross-section; roughly prepared working edges; yellowish-beige stone, superficial patina remaining. Cf. MacGregor, A. (ed.), Antiquities from Europe and the Near East in the Collection of Lord McAlpine of West Green, Oxford, 1987, item 1.6, for type. 587 grams, 15.4 cm (6 in.).
