South German Rococo sculptor (active in the 18th century) Wall crucifix with holy water font Corpus Christi in three-nail type made of gilded bronze. Mounted on a walnut carved, gilded and partially green painted wall shield in curved cartouche form, framed by rocailles with roses in relief, partly openworked, below the small holy water font designed as a shell. Corpus Christi approx. 16.5 cm x 13.2 cm; overall dimensions approx. 51 cm x 35 cm x 8.5 cm. Provenance: Dissolution of an important German private collection - part II.
