Group of figures of Chronos with a putto
Hardwood, carved and painted dark bronze, the scythe gilded. Modern plinth with marble-look setting and gilding. The narrative carved figure group of outstanding artistic quality: Chronos of athletic stature standing in the manner of a "figure serpentinata" and raising his scythe with both hands, at the same time turning his bearded head to the right and looking at the putto standing behind him, who is gesticulating in supplication. Group of figures H. 49 cm; total h. 59.5 cm.
