Oblong cases with rounded ends and slightly domed tops, made of papier-mâché painted in polychrome, gilded and lacquered. The first is decorated with a central medallion of the Virgin and Child surrounded by Joseph and angels, and two pairs of nightingales standing on branches of roses and wild roses; the second, decorated with poly-lobed cartouches with fine decorations of nightingales on hazel and rose branches on a black background. The bases and sides of the inner compartments with floral decoration of blossoming flowers and gilded serrated leaves on a red background.
