SUITE OF FOUR "CHERBETLIK". TWO PAIRS OF OTTOMAN COVERED CUPS WITH THEIR DISPLAY STAND silver and gilt inside, the sides engraved with floral compositions set in arcatures for the first pair, pomegranates, flowers, calligraphy and foliate friezes for the second. The lids are topped with acorn-shaped and pomegranate-shaped handles respectively. The handles, in the form of foliate scrolls, are embellished with a floriform thumb rest. Sah and Tughra Abdul Hamid II hallmarks on all pieces, some difficult to read. Control mark "chechné" on the bases. (Slight dents). Ottoman Turkey, reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II (r. 1876-1909), late 19th-early 20th centuries.
