SUITE OF THREE PIECES in porcelain and polychrome enamels of the green family on a powder blue ground with highlights of gilding, comprising : a radish vase, the wall decorated with reserves animated with flowering jardinières and butterflies, the base with a leaf mark in blue underglaze; a round plate decorated in a central medallion with a phoenix flying above branches of a peony tree in bloom and pierced rocks, the base with a sound gong mark within a double blue circle; and a small European covered bonbonnière, decorated with water lilies, lotuses and birds among flowers in poly-lobed reserves. (Base of the vase pierced and chip to the foot, lid missing, cracks and chip to the rim of the plate). China, Kangxi period (1662-1722); European work, circa 1900.
