SUBJECT in gilded copper alloy, depicting Shyamatara seated in "lalitasana" (posture of royal relaxation) on a lotiform base, the right foot resting on a lotus, the right hand in "varadamudra" (gesture of giving), the left hand holding the blue lotus "utpala", symbolising purity. The base is covered with a copper plate with the "vishvajra" (double vajra). (Traces of polychromy). Tibet, 19th century. A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF SHYAMATARA, TIBET, 19TH CENTURY.
