SUBJECT in gilded copper alloy inlaid with cabochons of turquoise and other fine stones, depicting the jina Ratnasambhava ("born of the jewel"), left hand in "dhyanasana" (gesture of meditation), right hand in "varadamudra" (gesture of giving), seated on a high two-row lotiform plinth, face crowned with a diadem, ears adorned with flower-shaped pendants. The base covered with a copper plate with the "vishvajra" (double vajra). Tibet, 18th century. A TURQUOISE INLAID GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF JINA RATNASAMBHAVA, TIBET, 18TH CENTURY.
