SUBJECT in gilded bronze, depicting Shakyamuni Buddha, seated on a two-row lotiform plinth, in "bhumisparsamudra" (gesture of taking the earth as witness), a vajra placed before him, leaning against a flamed mandorla, dressed in a monastic robe leaving his right shoulder bare. The base is covered with a copper plate with the "vishvajra" (double vajra). Tibet, 18th century. A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI, TIBET, 18TH CENTURY. HEIGHT. 11 CM (4 5/16 IN.)
