SUBJECT in gilt bronze inlaid with turquoise cabochons, depicting the crowned Buddha Shakyamuni, representing equanimity, the left hand in "dhyanasana" (gesture of meditation), the right hand in "bhumishparsamudra" (gesture of taking the earth as witness), seated on a two-row lotiform plinth. The base is covered with a copper plate with the "vishvajra" (double vajra). (Cabochons and bowl missing). Tibet, 18th-19th centuries.
