Sulmonese school, four processional cross terminals, last quarter 15th century, silver foil Sulmonese School, last quarter 15th century FOUR PROCESSIONAL CROSS TERMINALS in silver foil with traces of gilding worked with embossing and chiselling, according to models derived from the cross signed by Nicola di Guardiagrele in 1434 for the church of Monticchio. On the front at the top is depicted the risen Christ, on the sides the Virgin and St. John the Evangelist, at the bottom a blessing Bishop, while on the back are the four Evangelists, recognisable also by their typical attributes finely chiselled into the foil; approx. 12x13 cm each terminal. Mounted on a plexiglass cross complete with base, 86x60 cm overall
