SUPERB COLLECTION OF CELTIC BRONZE AGE JEWELLERY Ca. 1500 - 1000 BC. A collection of eight bronze ornaments comprising four bracelets, three earrings, and one torc. The bracelets are each formed from a single bronze band with coiled terminals rolled into tight spirals, and the outer faces are decorated with shallow diagonal ridging converging towards the ends. The earrings are annular in shape, with plain circular bodies and suspension loops at the top, the necks encircled by ribbed decoration. The torc is made from a round-section bar, expanding at the terminals, which are adorned with incised bands. Size: 75-125mm x 50-150mm; Weight: 240g Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
