A superb seamstress’s vice
Made of polished steel and fabric. A superb vice with a screw whose head is decorated with scrollwork. The shaft is elegantly decorated with a feathered motif, surmounted by scrollwork from which two twigs emerge, emphasising the base of a small sewing kit. Rectangular in shape with bevelled sides, it opens via a hinged lid on which sits a blue velvet pin cushion. The inside of the lid features a mirror and is lined with fabric. The toilet case is decorated with foliage motifs on all sides, set against a bluish mirror-finish steel background, with the borders highlighted by nail-markings.
