Snuffbox Made of carved corozo and brass. The lid is carved in high relief with a depiction of Athena as a warrior, carrying a sword and a flag. On the reverse side, allegorical figures of Fame and Liberty (or Peace?) stand on either side of an altar surmounted by a flame. Garlands of flowers and foliage, and a floral motif from which a grotesque face emerges, complete the decoration. 19th century L. 7.5 cm – D. 4.5 cm Damage and losses
