A celadon nephrite snuffbox embellished with dragon decoration, China, 19th century The flattened rectangular bottle with rounded shoulders is decorated with beige soapstone and mother-of-pearl appliqués depicting two dragons clashing in pursuit of the flaming pearl in clouds on each side. It stands on an oval foot. Green jadeite stopper. The embellishment is probably later than the snuffbox. H. 7 cm
