Snuffbox in gold 750, probably Dutch 1720-1730, the top with repoussé decoration of a scene of Roman soldiers in front of a man seated next to a barrel of wine, the lid opens on a miniature enamel portrait of Charles-Eugène Lévis, duc de Lévis (1669-1734), lieutenant general of the armies (1707) and member of the Council of War (1715-1718), obviously unmarked but imported from France, 5.5x7.5 cm, 142g gross.
