IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SNUFFBOX
In yellow gold, rectangular shape with
edges. Engraved on all sides
and finely chased in three coloured golds
(white, green and pink). The lid is decorated
with a central medallion bearing the imperial monogram
of Tsar Paul I (1754 - 1801) set with brilliants
on a circle of translucent red enamel
(damaged) on a guilloché background.
Four bezel-set rose-cut diamonds
at the corners of the lid (one missing).
Inside the lid, a white enamelled cross of St. John of Jerusalem.
