P. Hughes, The Wallace Collection Catalogue of Furniture, Vol. II, London, 1996, p. 1065). The Wallace example, which dates from around 1763-1764, is stamped by Jean-François Leleu, who was working in the workshop of the famous cabinet-maker and supplier to the Crown.
