Carved and gilded wood, top of violet breche marble, the belt decorated in the centre with a lion's head inscribed in a leafy cartouche on a lattice background, the sides with a cabochon motif surmounted by an acanthus leaf, the uprights in a double scroll surmounted by a palmette and joined by an X-shaped brace; small accidents and missing parts.
