TACITE. Opera, quæ exstant, integris J. Lipsii, Rhenani, Ursini, Mureti, Pichenæ, Merceri, Gruteri, Acidalii, Grotii, Freinshemii, et selectis aliorum commentariis illustrata. Amsterdam, Daniel Elsevier, 1672. 2 volumes in-8, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, ornate smooth spine, inner lace, gilt edges (Binding late 18th century). A "correct edition, well executed, and much sought after in the past for the collection of variorum" (Willems). It was compiled by Johann Friedrich Gronow known as Gronovius and published a year after his death by his son Jacob.
A fine engraved title-frontispiece adorns the first volume.
A very nicely bound copy in the taste of Derome.
Repairs in the margins of the two titles; leaves interchanged in the Cc section of the first volume; light scattered foxing; spines slightly faded.
