TAPESTRY “CUPID AS A CHILD RIDING IN A CHARIOT PULLED BY PUTTI” - The Embden Collection
Probably Brussels or Antwerp, end of the 17th century.
Polychrome wool. Depiction of a group of putti playing music and pulling a chariot with Cupid as a child, in a park landscape with a parrot, fountains and Baroque architecture. Opulent border depicting fruit and flowers.
290 × 450 cm.
Small tears and losses, the border cut at the top, but still complete.

The Arlette and Antony Embden Collection, France.
