A Beauvais 18th century tapestry, in the taste of David Teniers the Young (1610-1690) This amusing tapestry illustrates a game of boules. The composition features caricatured peasants immortalised in everyday activities. This type of popular scene, known as "Ténières", is directly related to the work of David Teniers the Younger, from which it takes its inspiration.
