Marquetry round coffee table France, Napoleon III, late 19th century 77 x 59 cm In solid wood with veneer and top probably in light marble set within a brass frame. The cabinet has a perimeter band decorated with gilded bronze appliqués in the form of festoons, rosettes and ribbons, typical of the neoclassical repertoire. The structure is supported by four tapered, fluted legs, joined by a circular lower shelf veneered with geometric inlay motifs. The lots that are the subject of this auction are located in a private home in Rome. Participation in the auction implies the full acceptance of the condition that the pick-up of the auctioned goods shall be entirely at the care, risk and expense of the successful bidder. It is understood that any disassembly, packaging, transport and pick-up operations must be organised directly by the successful bidder. It is therefore recommended to request all the necessary information in advance, also in order to acquire any transport estimates before making a bid.
