Finely carved and gilded wooden centre table-console. Base in the form of a rock and foliage with two seated satyrs. Top support made of two vine trunks adorned with thick vine shoots, leaves and bunches of grapes. This is a complex sculpture that abandons the classical legs in favour of a naturalistic stem. Shaped and wavy top currently covered in red velvet. Top edge finished with a gilded ovoid motif frame. Fine workmanship in eclectic style from the mid-19th century. Condition as per photo.
