TELL BRACK STONE EYE IDOL. Ca. 3500 - 3000 BC. A stone eye idol featuring a rectangular, tapering body and a flat base. The figure is crowned with a pair of large, hollow, circular eyes at the top, symmetrically positioned on the head. The surface of the figure is light beige, with some brownish streaks and natural mottling. A similar example sold for USD 109,000 at Christie's, Live Auction 1915, Antiquities, 6 December 2007, Lot 55.
