TELL BRAK STONE EYE IDOL Late Uruk Period, Ca. 3300 - 3000 BC. An eye idol carved from stone, with a flat body that flares downward to form a stable, flat base. At the top of the idol, a pair of oversized, pierced loops are intricately carved to form stylised eyes. The smooth surface of the stone contrasts with the bold, abstract features, lending the figure a striking and simplistic appearance.
