Brocade hanging or table rug, manufactured by A. Potocki in Boutcha, Poland, then Ukraine, late 19th century, richly woven polychrome silk and silver thread, the field with oriental-inspired floral decoration reminiscent of Polish belts, the border with floral scale motifs. Bolduc with the initials of Arthur Potocki surmounted by the pilawa, the heraldic cross common to most Polish noble families, (a few threads pulled), 144 x 147 cm.
