Paris, Josse Bade, 1524. 2 works in one volume in-folio, marbled basane, spine decorated, red edges (18th century binding). First folio edition of Terence's comedies published by Robert Estienne with Donat's commentary. Carefully printed in Roman script, the title bears the olive tree mark of the learned printer. The remarkable edition of the Attic Nights published by Josse Bade after the 1519 edition has been bound in. The title is printed in red and black in a fine engraved frame, with the bookseller's mark showing a type press in action. Brownish spotting in the margins of a few leaves at the beginning, middle and end of the volume; title margins reinforced on verso; last quire with short margins; tear to a spine and some spotting.
