Pair of small gourd vases in polychrome enamelled earthenware, decorated on one side with flowering branches and butterflies, and on the other with a bird and a butterfly, standing out against a honey-coloured background; the neck framed by two small handles carved in the shape of an elephant. Signed "Th. Deck" on the reverse of each base. One of the vases bears an old label marked "Th. Deck Paris".
