Provenance: General Bro's collection (probably folio no. 17 of the so-called "violet" album; Claire Lepage's draft partition after her death in 1908: "Géricault dessin femme, 30 frs", cf. t. I, doc.385); lent by Mme Aylies in 1924 to an exhibition. Passed on by descent.
Two labels on the back:
