A spider's web is an assemblage: the spider and the silk are corporeally, cognitively and sensorially entangled in and through complex threads of relationship. When the spider leaves, the web it leaves behind is both a material memory and a spatio-temporal diagram of the spider's psycho-geographical drift through the air: it retraces past and provisional trajectories, and traces lines of thought. A mesh of sensory and bodily relationships.
The spider webs laid down on paper produce maps, characters and signatures of a new language. But when interpreted, they also resemble maps of past journeys and future itineraries drawn by the spiders/webs. A spider/web begins as a single silk thread tossed in the air, loose and undulating until it is tautened by the wind. Each thread is a web in the making, drifting through the air until it meets a surface, allowing the spider/web to write its passage, its drift and its future paths. Spider/web prints are therefore real maps of suspended cities inhabited by spiders/webs.

Spider webs laid out on paper produce maps, characters and signatures of a new language. Yet to be interpreted, they also resemble the maps of past courses and future routes drawn by spider/webs. A spider/web begins with a single thread of silk cast out into the air, loose and undulating until pulled taut by the wind. Each thread is a web in becoming, adrift on air until it meets a surface, bridging the spider/webs's ability to write their passage, their drifting and ways forward. Spider/web prints are therefore the real-life maps of suspended cities inhabited by spider/webs.
