Journeyman’s barrel
Made of oak, with iron hoops and a horn stopper. Flattened oval in shape, with carved decorations on both sides. On one side, a compass and a double set square are placed on a workbench and are surrounded by the initials: ‘RSC’. On the other side, an anchor, an oar and a boat hook, surrounded by the initials ‘SV’ and the date ‘1884’.
