TORAJA, Sulawesi (Celebes Island), Indonesia. Rare, sleeveless breastplate made of woven plant fibres and covered with shell disks, worn by warriors. This war armour became rare at the beginning of the 20th century when conflicts between groups calmed down. Height: 60 cm. Width: 32 cm.
