Print, dai oban tate-e, Yugaeri (湯がえ里), Leaving the bath. Signed Kotondo ga and artist's stamp. Publisher Ikeda. Dated Showa 8 (1933). On the reverse, numbered 60/100. (Small pinholes).
Size: 47.9 x 29.1 cm
The young woman depicted, for whom the artist's wife posed, is shown passing through the noren, coming out of the baths. She is holding a basket containing her toiletries. Her skin is still pink from the heat of the bath.
ATTACHED is a dai oban tate-e, a print of the outlines of the same print.
