From 31 December 1944, it was deployed west of Michamps to support the 12th SS Panzerdivision. On 2 January 1945, the battalion took part in fighting near Wardin, destroying several American tanks. On 3 January, one of their Tiger tanks was destroyed by friendly fire, causing an explosion that blew off the tank's turret.
