AUSTRIAN WORK FROM THE 17TH CENTURY Baroque domestic altar or "altarmodell", 1657 Exceptional altar in carved wood, painted and gilded with gold, featuring on the pediment God the Father, in the centre Jesus Christ crucified between Saint John and the Virgin, the background painted with a landscape. On either side, a crowned saint (her attribute is missing) and Saint Barbara. At the bottom, the infant Jesus surrounded by two angels. Cartouche in the centre dedicated and dated 1657.
