Empire period - "Mercury" clock resting on a rectangular base decorated with horns of plenty and flowers. White enamelled dial with Roman numeral and chased bronze plate. The movement is set in a rectangular portico decorated with cornucopia, flowers and two doves, surmounted by a gilt bronze subject representing Mercury holding the canucée and a purse. Several bronze elements adorn the lower part (bundle, paddle, ink and barrel). His attributes are associated with Mercury, god of travellers and wanderers. H. 47 x 26 x 9.5 cm Condition: Caduceus folded. The clock needs to be serviced - non-functional condition.
