TRAVEL TABLE - The Embden Collection
Italy, probably Genoa, second half of the 17th century.
Walnut with dark patina. Rectangular, molded leaf on two curved H-shaped legs carved with foliate scrolls, flowers, winged angel heads, and lions. The legs are connected by two crossed, diagonal, baluster-shaped iron braces that are rolled up at the ends.
135 × 78 × 79 cm.
Scratches and cracks. Losses to the carved legs, mainly in the area of the lion's feet.
