In monoxyle wood
Decorated with characters covering the entire shaft.
Starting from the bottom, you can see : an Amerindian chief, the allegory of the French Revolution, a portrait of a pirate, a chief with a wooden leg, a Napoleonic soldier (wearing a shako), a Prussian wearing a monocle and his pointed helmet, the portrait of a discoverer, then a woman carrying a hood, a Swiss peasant whose belt is monogrammed "AR", the double-headed eagle, a woman carrying dwarfs in her hood, a dog representing fidelity, and finally a grotesque head.
The pommel is in the shape of a hand, the thumb sticking out of a sleeve, with two Bavarian figures visible in the palm.
Signed "RLV" and further on, the letters "OLST" and the date "1870" are visible.
Complete with its ferule.
