VERY FINE SINOHEREKE SILK RUG, embroidered with gold thread, circa 1985-1990. Golden yellow field decorated with a stylised mihrab in the form of a cabochon encircled by a bracelet, hanging oil lamp, vase with finely drawn spray of flowers surrounded by a wreath of flower sprigs. The main ivory border is decorated with a series of diamond-tipped curves inlaid with stylised flower buds. Prayer-shaped carpet. Silk velvet, brocaded with gold thread on silk backing.
