Triton and nymph as table decoration The fully sculpted depiction of nymph and triton, standing on their curled, scaled fish tails in fine relief with leafy fins. While Triton bends slightly forwards and blows a conch shell horn, the nymph carries her two vegetal horns in her hands. Fine polychrome painting. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler, c. 1740, model no. 70502 and 70503, crossed swords mark. H. 16 cm.
Kaendler created both figures attributed to the swan service as decoration on the confectionery table.
